Does it worth your time?

One of the best metroidvanias. An under-the-radar game that deserves more attention. Everything is so well made, the art, the music, the story, the combat mechanics. There are a few minor flaws, but it is easy to overlook them. The game is short, not that hard and gets more and more interesting as you progress. Honestly it is hard to understand why this game hasn't been more renowned.

All the achievements can be completed in a single playthrough. You do not really need a guide since the game provides you with the information you need for your completion tasks. There may be a couple exceptions if you feel impatient, but the game progresses in a way that you can just enjoy it, without trying too hard to reach 100% completion. And that is rare.

First Playthrough

There is no difficulty selection but instead the game gets harder every time you beat a boss. There is no real missable achievements, but be aware of The Abyss Fully enhance 5 Blighted Spirit , because there are not enough Blights to fully upgrade every Blighted Spirit, and it's really really painful to farm them. Also, it is possible to finish the game without reaching level 100 for Ruined One Reach level 100 . So, kill everything as you move from room to room, in order to reduce the post-game farming. Finally, the room's color will change to orange when everything is collected and that ensures that you cannot miss any collectible.

There are eight unmissable/story achievements: Purification Purify Guardian Siegrid , Tenacity Purify Guardian Silva , Blight Throne Purify Knight Captain Julius , Lamentation Purify Dark Witch Eleine , Fury Purify Gerrod the Elder Warrior , Resolve Purify Hoenir Keeper of the Abyss , Heroic Death Purify Ulv the Mad Knight and Separation Purify Faden the Heretic .

Blighted Spirits are essentially skills and are obtained after defeating bosses and mini-bosses. For collecting them you will unlock Purging Glow Obtain 5 Blighted Spirits , Light Obtain 10 Blighted Spirits , Liberator Obtain 15 Blighted Spirits and finally Savior Obtain every Blighted Spirit . For upgrading them you will unlock Latent Power Enhance a Spirit for the first time , Taboo Blight Fully enhance a Blighted Spirit , The Abyss Fully enhance 5 Blighted Spirit and Secret Fully enhance the Umbral Knight for fully upgrading the first skill. Impaling Lily Unleash the Spectral Lance's full power and Falling Lily [object Object] are for using the mentioned skills at their full power. You will most likely unlock them naturally as you are trying to access different ares in the map. Relics are the only type of wearable. Collecting them will unlock Left Behind Obtain a relic , Relic Hunter Obtain 10 relics and Collector Obtain all relics . Obtaining amulets, wishes and chains will unlock Refurbishment Attain maximum HP , Convergence Attain maximum Prayer Potency and Carried Over Obtain all Chains of Sorcery respectively.

For reaching level 100 you will earn Lurking Filth Reach level 10 , Blighted One Reach level 50 and Ruined One Reach level 100 . Respites are checkpoints, where you can equip and upgrade your skills and items. Finding them will unlock Outset Reach 10 Respites and Memorial Reach every Respite . Findings are notes. Find them to unlock Fretia's Will Obtain Findings 24-28 , Newly Anointed Obtain Finding 45 and Exposé Obtain all Findings .

There are three endings that can be done in order Benevolence Witness Ending A , Journey's End Witness Ending B and Dawn Prayer Witness Ending C . At that point of the game you will also unlock Truth Purify every Blighted hero for defeating all the Blighted heroes, Visitant Journey to all maps for visiting every room and Rebirth Restore power to the lost amulet for crafting the final relic.
