Does it worth your time?

A very different sequel of the Shadow Warrior 2013 game. You have a central hub from where you travel at the mission locations and the environments are procedural generated. There are more weapons and a crafting/gem system to customize the weapons even further. Finally there is co-op functionality, which is useful for the higher difficulties. All in all the game is ok.

The grinding is unfortunate. Having to collect 10.000 orbs will add 5+ hours of playtime. And this is the only reason you will need a co-op buddy. Apart from that, co-op is useless.

First Playthrough

For the first playthrough I recommend the Who Wants Wang difficulty. You can change the difficulty midgame if you feel it is too hard. Important things to be aware are first, sell all your gems except from the legendary ones. Legendary gems are the ones worth crafting. Second, you have to use every elementary gem and kill 100 enemies with each. Third, just use whatever weapons you feel comfortable with, do not wait for the best weapon, gems are what makes the difference. On this playthrough you will unlock at least 56 achievements.

There are 12 combat related achievements. For killing 2500 enemies you will earn Junior Hitman Kill 100 enemies , Executioner Kill 500 enemies and Call me Wang, Lo Wang Kill 2500 enemies . Kill 200 enemies with the special attack for Trickster Perform 200 Special Attack kills , 100 enemies with the Grip of Darkness skill for Wang the Impaler Perform 100 kills when enemy's grasped by Grip of Darkness , 50 enemies with the Vanish skill for Mr. Kosugi Perform 50 Vanish kills and 100 weakspot kills for Bullseye Perform 100 weakspot kills . Killing 100 enemies with each elementary gem will earn you Tiny Little Pieces Shatter 100 frozen enemies for ice, Toxic Blast Perform 100 acid corpse explosions for toxic, Living Torch Set 200 enemies on fire for fire and Short Circuit Electrocute 200 enemies for electricity. Finally kill 10 bunny lords for I Think I Saw a Wabbit Kill 10 Bunny Lords .

5 achievements are about the gems. Ready for Action Collect 500 upgrades , Unique Collection Collect 200 unique upgrades and Legendary Collection Complete the game on I Have No Fear difficulty are for collecting and should unlock naturally as long as you pick up everything. Handyman Craft 100 upgrades and Legendary Handyman Craft 30 legendary upgrades are for crafting.

15 achievements are for killing champions/bosses in side missions. Make sure you reach level 50 in this playthrough for Sempai Develop any character to level 10 , Sensei Develop any character to level 25 and Grandmaster Develop any character to level 50 . You can farm xp in the Trials and Orbs at the same time. Completing the Trials will earn you Student of The Way of the Wang Complete any trial of The Way of the Wang and Master of The Way of the Wang Complete Trials of Infusion, Embedding, Purification and Trial of the Ancient God . You might as well collect 10000000 zillyen for That's a Lot of Coins Collect 1000000 zillyen and Financial Security Collect 10000000 zillyen . An easy way is to resell items from the mechants, since you you sell at the same price you buy them and still count towards the achievements.

Finally, there are 4 story achievements King of the Dragon Mountain Defeat Corrupted Kamiko , King of Mount Akuma Defeat Devouring Kamiko , Unfinished Business Defeat Zilla Mechanoid , Goddess Slayer Defeat Ancient Goddess Ameonna and for completing this playthrough will unlock Casual Wang Complete the game on Tiny Grasshopper difficulty , Normal Wang Complete the game on I Have No Fear difficulty and Hard Wang Complete the game on Who Wants Wang difficulty .

Second Playthrough

For this playthrough choose NG+ and No Pain No Gain difficulty. Now what is left is to find 50 secrets, and collect 10000 orbs. You will have to play a few side missions, so you unlock more locations in order to find at least 50 secrets. Some are in the main missions, which are missable and some in side missions that are procedurally generated, which means not every secret will be accessible at the same mission. Finding at least 50 secrets will unlock Shiny! Find 5 secrets , My Precious Find 15 secrets and Ancient Chinese Secrets Find 50 secrets . Collecting 10000 orbs will unlock Orb Collector Collect 100 Orbs of Masamune , Experienced Orb Collector Collect 1000 Orbs of Masamune and The Way of Masamune Collect 10000 Orbs of Masamune .

For completing the main story you will earn Insane Wang Complete the game on No Pain No Gain difficulty and I'm a Collector Myself Unlock all achievements .
